Running Down Hunger in November

by Isis on November 9, 2011

The holidays are right around the corner. For most of us that means making memories with family and a table full of food. Unfortunately, this is not the case for many in our area. enduraLAB and lululemon athletica Fort Worth are teaming up with Tarrant Area Food Bank for a month long food drive to help give this memory to those less fortunate.

Join us during the month of November every Wednesday at 6pm for a weekly enduraLAB run group at the lululemon athletica Fort Worth store in University Park Village. Bring nonperishable foods to the run group for collection. Visit the store throughout the month to watch our donation grow!

enduraLAB will also be holding a Natural Running Form Clinic at GSX on November 19th. For the clinic we’ll focus of form, posture, foot strike, cadence, arm carry and breathing. We’re going to show you just how sweet running can be.

This clinic is open to all…whether you’re new to running or a seasoned veteran. We are big believers that running form is evolutionary and there is always room for improvement. Our objective is to give you the tools and techniques to create a great running experience! All we ask from you is at least three cans of non-perishable food!

Hope to see you at one of these events!

the LAB, coming 2012

by Lee on October 31, 2011

the LAB is coming to Fort Worth in 2012

We’re very excited to announce the LAB, Fort Worth’s first endurance-specific gym, is coming in 2012! Our goal is to create the ultimate endurance training facility for athletes of all ages and skill levels. With the amazing support of our family, friends and fans we are able to bring this concept to fruition a lot sooner than expected.

We’re currently evaluating spaces near the Trinity River and downtown Fort Worth to provide our athletes access to the extensive system of over 40 miles of trails. We understand that making workouts fit in your day-to-day routine can be difficult, that’s why we want to create a space that is convenient for your family and lifestyle. The facility will have new, functional equipment and have bathrooms and showers to help get you going after a workout. We’re also working on community relationships to bring some fun perks to all of our members.

So what makes the LAB different from other gyms? We’re going to tackle endurance training from all angles. We know that the endurance athlete is not just made from hours and hours of time on the trail, bike, or in the pool. We’re going to show you how a balance of speed, strength, mobility, technique, diet and recovery can take your performance to new heights.

We’re now entering the fundraising portion of our startup. While most of the financing is coming from our own pockets, this effort is helping us put in some of the finishing touches that will make the LAB a great home for all of us! We wanted to make contributing fun for all, so we’ve come up with some enticing packages for you! Please click here to see how you can contribute and be a part of the LAB and check out the blog for updates!

Interested in investing in the LAB? We’re currently offering an 8% annual rate of return for investments of $5k or higher. Please contact us if interested.

Other ways you can help:

  • Share this post on your blog, Facebook page, or Twitter feed.
  • Become a fan of enduraLAB on Facebook and Twitter and suggest to your friends.
  • Talk to your friends and family about becoming a member.
  • Share your ideas on what would make the ultimate gym.
  • Come out to one of our upcoming events and bring a friend.

We were all new runners at one point of time. It’s only fair to share our experiences and advice with those who are beginning their running journey. Finding a Workout When Traveling

March 4, 2011

I’ve been getting lots of questions from friends lately about the best place to do yoga or CrossFit because they see how active I am in my community. The thing only is…they live in completely different cities and states! My biggest advice to everyone is to check out your local lululemon athletica. Seriously, they are [...]

The Fall of Rocky Raccoon and Rise of lululemon

As you may have known, I was supposed to run my first 50-miler at the Rocky Raccoon a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately the weather did not want to cooperate with me. We had a huge ice/snow storm in Texas and since my crew (a.k.a. Isis) was a little over 5 months pregnant, I didn’t [...]

Runnin’ Some Hills on The Treadmill

February 10, 2011

If you haven’t seen the news…it’s been a rather cold February here in the great state of Texas. This leads us to doing crazy things…like running on the treadmill. While I don’t suggest getting your long runs in on a dreadmill, there are some pretty fun interval workouts you should try. Tonight I did an [...]
