Race Day Recovery With Athletes HoneyMilk

There are a so many things to think about when preparing for a big race, especially the night before. You have to make sure you lay everything out and not to eat something that will upset your stomach. What a lot of people don’t think about is their recovery 30 minutes post race. We are willing to say that most depend on what’s available at the race finish area. This is usually water, some type of protein, fruit, and junk food.

We have a better idea – well a couple actually. Athletes HoneyMilk is an all-natural recovery drink perfect for post race recovery. We’re taking it back to 2006 and the Chicago Marathon. This is where The Running Couple really began…and of course it started with a race! This time it was just myself and I had convinced Isis to come watch. Even though we had dated on and off for a handful of months before, we hadn’t really decided if we were going to make the long haul. I think after Isis saw my amazing inaugural marathon performance she was hooked…she may not tell it that way though. Anyway…after the “Sweeter than Honey” weekend in Chicago we had both made our minds up and 11 months later we were Mr. and Mrs. Hargrave!
