Step one was to evaluate my eating habits and focus on eating balanced meals and snacks. Step two was to take the ever so embarrassing “before” pictures to compare to my amazing 6-pack “after” pictures.

My goal was to have a 6-pack this year but three fitness divas, @runkerrierun @sarahthequeen1 and @aSingularGirl have challenged the twitterverse and are all posting an abs avatar on 5/7. So… thanks girls for giving me a shorter time period!
Every week I will be updating you all on my progress during my Road to Abs. There will also be training videos provided by Josh so you can train along with me!
Flabby stomach, you are going D.O.W.N.

I made a New Year’s/pre-baby resolution recently to get a 6-pack (abs, not beer). I am teaming up with the most amazing Gold’s Gym trainer and friend, Josh Amora. He is going to put me through the ringer and balance my strength training with my running.
My first task was to record what I ate during a full day and at what time I ate it.
[Let me first say that writing down what you eat makes you very aware of what you are putting in your body. Every time I thought about a snack, it felt like I just wrote something down and it calmed the urge.]
In true Running Couple style, I will share everything with you guys!
Here is was I had to eat today:
8am-oatmeal with raisins and honey
10:18am-fat free yogurt (cheap and fat free which is a double negative)
11:16am-gum (it has calories, it counts)
1pm- chicken, veggies, cottage cheese
1:30pm small blueberry muffin
4:03pm- trail mix pack approx 240 calories
8:12pm-chicken, black beans, cous cous, cottage cheese
I had 6 full glasses of water so far and will probably have 2 more before bed.
We will see how Josh grades me and what he feels I need to adjust for my “rigorous” training!
