Today was an especially cold day in Dallas, 20 degrees to be exact. There was literally ice all over our parking garage when we left our apartment this morning. With that being said, we were SO glad that our race was inside of Fountain Place.

The race was a hit right from the start! When we walked up to the registration table we were greeted by friendly faces and fellow climbers. We grabbed our bib, a bottle of water and waited for our starting time (10:30am). The race was staggered so that the stairwell didn’t get congested.  On the way up, we took a break at the 26th floor. There were people cheering us on along the way and posters on the walls of those who are fighting or Leukemia and Lymphoma or have passed because of it. At the end of the race we had one of the best views in Dallas. We were given a cool t-shirt and some grub.

This was the second annual Big D Climb for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We think it was a big success and recommend to anyone wanting a different kind of cardio. Not much training is needed….unless you want to beat Zach , who finished in 6 minutes and 20 seconds.
