Great BLOG post of White Rock!

I regret not taking the DART like you guys did.

The tweetup was awesome. I love meeting fellow runners and putting names (Twitter IDS) to faces. The race itself was a lot of fun. From start to finish, I was really proud to be a resident of Dallas. Cheerleaders, Bands, and the Volunteers of the race were extremely supportive.

Between mile seven and eight, I started to lose motivation much like Isis. However, I heard you guys call my name and I looked up to see yall! THAT ROCKED. Thanks for the shout out.

Overall, White Rock as awesome. The only wish I have for next year is that they move the water and food stations closer to the finish line.

Great recap! I’ve been a fan of yall’s for a while now and it was so *great* to finally meet you!!! Here’s what was so awesome: Yall are super happy, super positive, and a super cute couple! You really pulled me to the end! Thank goodness I stopped on Katy Trail to take a pic and you recognized me! Lee, you were making me laugh all along and Isis, you were making me feel superhero strong with your support!!! I really cannot wait until the next time we run together!!!!!

Ok, the port-a-potty thing was an issue for me too! I totally agree with that switchback. It went on FOREVER! And the slight incline coming up was not fun. I hope they start the marathon runners an hour earlier than the 1/2 next year. It was just too crowded. I think I ran an extra .2 dodging and passing people. See you at CowTown!

Great recap guys. That sucks about your little pit stop in mile one. I had to go as well, but lucky for my I was able to sweat it off. Did you happen to see Michael Jackson, he ran past me between mile 1 and 2. He was wearing a boom box belt or something, blaring his own tunes. I saw Forest Gump too passing by the other direction on mile 8. The final 5K along the Katy Trail was pretty awesome.

I might see you guys at Cowtown, but more likely will be running the Rock and Roll Half Marathon. I won’t be able to do both, unless I come across a stash of cash! Races are the most expensive part of running.

There were definitely tons of people at those initial small in number port-a-potties. Bummed that I didn’t get to make it over to section 105 to meet up with you guys. I’m sure our paths will cross soon enough.

My problems started at mile 11. Thank goodness I waited in line before the race. Enjoyed the update. Sorry I didn’t get to meet y’all this time. Maybe we can @ the rock N roll in March.
